Its unique position at the foot of the cliffs creates a perfect wind-compression effect for the “Peler”—a strong, steady northerly morning wind that kicks in at first light. Thanks to the facilities at the FLYWAVE AL PRA center, accessing the water is easy, and the conditions are ideal, featuring perfect bumps and waves for downwinding. It is the ideal location for those looking to maximize their time on the water amidst breathtaking natural scenery.

What do we Offer:

Downwind Foiling Camp – Intermediate and Advanced Levels.

This camp is designed for foilers—from intermediate to pro—who are keen to develop their downwind skills. Do you want to refine your downwind technique? Are you struggling with connecting bumps? Do you want to master the art of pumping? This camp is the perfect opportunity to take your riding to the next level. Pra del Fam offers ideal learning conditions and all the necessary amenities to ensure an unforgettable experience. The ideal gear (boards, wings, foils) will be selected based on each rider’s skill level to best support their progression.

Coaching Method:

Sessions take place in a group setting, but coaching is personalized for each individual based on the rider’s abilities and the specific setup chosen for the session.

Your coach, Matteo Guazzoni, is a foiling pioneer with years of experience. He currently develops foil products for RRD (Roberto Ricci Designs). A former European windsurfing champion, Matteo has actively competed in world-class wingfoil events and regularly practices wing foiling and downwind foiling on Lake Garda. His expertise spans everything from freestyle and SUP foiling to Foil Drive and flat-water pumping.

Accommodation and Partners:

Our base is the FLYWAVE AL PRA watersports center (Porto di Tignale, BS)—a hub for watersports on Lake Garda. For accommodation, we partner with local establishments right near the spot, allowing you to hit the water at first light without any stress.

Program (2 days)

Day 1: Morning meeting (8:00 AM) for the first *Peler* session. On-water coaching session, a theory lesson, and video analysis of the morning’s footage. The afternoon is dedicated to a technical debrief or a potential second session, depending on conditions.

Day 2: Intensive morning training session in the *Peler* wind. Individual coaching focused on specific goals. Final debrief, delivery of technical feedback, and camp wrap-up in the early afternoon.

Wind strength and temperatures: 

During the month of November, the morning wind—the Peler—varies in intensity between 15 to 30 knots and lasts from 8:00 a.m. until around 11:30 a.m.

Air temperatures hover around 13–18°C and water temperatures around 15–18°C; 4/3mm wetsuits are recommended, or 5/3mm for those who feel the cold more easily.
