The Downwind Experience from Pier to Pra, Lake Garda, is scheduled for the weekends of 3–4 October and 10–11 October 2026.

FLYWAVE is organizing two weekends dedicated to downwind riding, with an exciting route from our main centre, Pier Watersport Center in Riva del Garda, to the newly opened FLYWAVE AL PRA school in Porto di Tignale.

DOWNWIND EXPERIENCE – Pier to Pra | 3–4 and 10–11 October 2026

You can take part with any equipment: wing foil, windsurf with fin or foil, parawing, SUP foil, downwind equipment, foil drive, and more.

An exciting downwind run across Lake Garda, from Pier to Pra, riding together with the Peler (north wind) and enjoying the experience as a group, regardless of the sport or equipment you use.

Once we arrive at Pra, there will be time to relax and recharge before heading back to the Pier Watersport Center. The return journey, including your equipment, will be organized by FLYWAVE shuttle buses.

TECHNICAL INFORMATION

Depending on the forecast for the Peler (north wind), we will choose the best day – either Saturday or Sunday – during each of the two weekends, 3–4 October and 10–11 October, for the Downwind Experience Pier to Pra.

Two weekends of pure downwind adrenaline and an experience to share together while enjoying the spectacular scenery of Lake Garda.

Matteo and Fabio, together with the FLYWAVE team, will be your guides throughout this exciting downwind experience. You will also be supported by two safety boats along the route for maximum safety.

The meeting point on the selected Downwind Experience day will be at 7:30 am at Pier Watersport Center.

Departure is scheduled for 8:30 am, with arrival at Pra expected around 10:00 am.

Registration will take place at 7:30 am, followed by equipment preparation and a BRIEFING, during which we will explain the rules and procedures to follow during the downwind.

Wearing a life jacket/impact vest is mandatory. If you do not have one, the school will provide it free of charge.

It is also mandatory for EVERY PARTICIPANT to carry a mobile phone in a waterproof case in case of emergency.

A van will be available to transport your clothes and any personal accessories, which you will find waiting for you when you arrive at Pra.

After completing the downwind, your equipment will need to be disassembled and prepared for loading onto the shuttle, which will take us back to the Pier Watersport Center.

The shuttle will leave Pra for the return journey to Pier approximately one hour after our arrival at Pra.
